But the second round, testing for endotoxins and sterility, revealed a bigger problem: some had dangerously high endotoxin levels, and a few even showed microbial growth. Out of all tested, only 20% passed everything the first time.

Determined to ensure consistency, the founders ordered a second round from those 20% and confirmed the results.
